How long is a typical lease? +
35 years standard, with extension options. The lease covers development, construction, full operating life, and decommissioning at end-of-term.
What rent is typical per acre? +
Lease rates vary by region, grid-connection value, and land grade — but they're typically 5-10× what the same acres would generate from a row-crop or pasture rotation.
Can I still graze livestock? +
Often yes. Sheep grazing is well-established under Lightsource bp panels in the UK, USA, and Spain. We design panel-spacing and racking heights with agrivoltaic compatibility from the start.
What happens at end-of-term? +
All equipment is removed at our cost; the site is restored to pre-installation grade. Topsoil, drainage, and fence-lines are returned to original condition. Or — at the landowner's option — the site may be repowered for another 35-year term.
