Things Maven deliberately doesn't do. The brand redesign was specifically about getting out of these.

No medical blue. Maven explicitly rejected the #0066CC-style trust blue. When you need a cool accent, reach for Mint.
No purple gender-coding. No lilac, plum, lavender on a women's-health surface — that's the cliché they got out of.
No stock smile-at-camera photography. Real moments only. A mother nursing. A clinician on a call. A queer family at home.
No emoji as icons. Use arrows and dots, or skip iconography entirely.
No gradients on body sections. Solid colour blocks. Gradients only as photo-overlay scrims.
No italic sans body. Italic is reserved for serif editorial moments.
No left-border-accent cards. Maven cards use full backdrop or photo top, never a 4px stripe.
