For 125 years the YMCA of Greater Montgomery has held one promise: no one is turned away for inability to pay. The Annual Campaign is how we keep it. Every dollar you give becomes a swim lesson for a child whose family is between paychecks, a Camp Chandler week for a kid who's never seen the lake, a senior aquatics class for a widow who needs the morning routine.
The Montgomery YMCA's annual campaign funds three things, in order of priority:
1. Scholarships. Sliding-scale membership and program rates for any household that needs them. One-page application, 5-day turnaround.
2. Brown-bag lunch outreach. Year-round meal delivery to Montgomery seniors, partnering with local food banks and faith communities.
3. Camp Chandler scholarships. Lake Jordan resident camp tuition for kids whose families couldn't otherwise afford it. We've sent kids to Chandler since 1948.
Donors of any amount get an annual report by mail showing exactly how their dollars were used — total scholarships granted, programs funded, families served. The Montgomery YMCA has been audited and Charity Navigator-rated for over a decade.
